POLITICS

  • I am a leftist (leaning anarcho-communist). Anti-racist, anti-capitalist, intersectional feminist, pro-choice, prison abolitionist, anti-imperialist, anti-military.

  • "Voting" is not enough, and sometimes plain useless. Don't come at me, I go to the polls too.

  • He/him, trans, non-binary, ace lesbians are valid.

  • "Bi/pan lesbians" just don't bother. "Lesbian" is the only term we have to effectively communicate and celebrate our lack of attraction to men altogether. It's not "sad" or "exclusionary" to want to center that, it is, in fact, incredibly fucking important and liberatory to a lot of us. It is a perfect descriptor of our genuine desire (or in that case, lack thereof). Our experiences align as sapphics (and I highly believe in sapphic solidarity between lesbians and bi/pan sapphics), but they do not overlap 100%. We have "sapphic" and "wlw" already, "lesbian" does not need to become an umbrella term.

It is NOT about shaming indigenous people for sustenance hunting. It is NOT about shaming people for needing to consume animal products. It is NOT about shaming people for living in food deserts. It is NOT about shaming people who cannot afford to go vegan. It is NOT about believing that sheep somehow shouldn't be shorn. Veganism is about being against the commodity status of sentient living beings. It is about reducing harm, doing what is possible and practical for you to reduce your consumption of animal products.

  • I believe that veganism cannot work as a movement if it is not also anti-capitalist, anti-ableist, anti-racist, and anti-colonialist at its core lest it becomes hypocrisy. If you're gonna fucking clown, first I beg of you to get informed about the movement, and second, there is a 95% chance I have heard your argument before.
